Step 1: Prepare Your Clip
1. Import Your Clip:
o Ensure your clip is ready and placed on the timeline in Premiere Pro.
Step 2: Apply Black and White Effect
1. Add Black and White Effect:
o Go to the Effects panel and search for the "Black and White" effect.
o Drag and drop this effect onto your video layer. This will convert your footage to black and white.
2. Adjust Black and White Intensity:
o In the Effect Controls panel, change the amount to around 70. This slightly decreases the intensity of the black and white effect.
Step 3: Add Noise
1. Add Noise Effect:
o In the Effects panel, search for the "Noise" effect.
o Drag and drop the Noise effect onto your video layer.
2. Adjust Noise Settings:
o Go to the Effect Controls panel and set the noise amount to 20.
o Uncheck the "Use Color Noise" option to ensure the noise is monochromatic.
Step 4: Apply Lumetri Color
1. Add Lumetri Color Effect:
o Search for "Lumetri Color" in the Effects panel and apply it to your clip.
2. Adjust Vignette:
o In the Lumetri Color panel, navigate to the Vignette section.
o Decrease the vignette amount to create a dark border around the edges of your footage, enhancing the night vision look.
Step 5: Add Grid for Night Vision Texture
1. Add Grid Effect:
o Search for "Grid" in the Effects panel and drag it onto your clip.
2. Adjust Grid Settings:
o In the Effect Controls panel, adjust the anchor and corner values to remove the grid from the frame.
o Change the blending mode to "Overlay" to integrate the grid texture with your footage.
o Set the opacity to around 60 to achieve the desired intensity.
Step 6: Final Adjustments
1. Review Your Effect:
o Play back your sequence to ensure the night vision effect looks realistic.
2. Make Any Necessary Adjustments:
o Fine-tune the opacity, noise, and vignette settings as needed to perfect the look.
